We do have a dress code at The Dance Element, and dancers are required to dress out for all of their classes.  Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Pointe will require shoes.

Our classes are grouped by both age and ability. New students are welcome to try several of the classes before choosing one.

We generally place everyone correctly after one or two classes.

Absolutely! We encourage all dancers to make up absences in any of our other technique classes at their level- any time.

We can not issue refunds once tuition is paid except in the case of very unique circumstances. Attendance is quite important for progressing in a dance class, and full attendance is strongly encouraged.

To get the most out of your dancing experience, try to make it to every class. If you must miss one- please let your instructor know in advance.

We usually follow the county schools, so if school is canceled you can assume dance will be too. We will also post any cancellations on our facebook page. 

Make-up classes will be held in the event of a cancellation due to weather.

Both of our dance studio rooms have large tinted viewing windows for parent observation. Parents are invited to come into the classes and observe the final week of each semester and cameras are welcome.

Starting pointe work is not just a question of age and desire. Readiness depends on an individual's strength, technique, and commitment. There is a risk of serious injury for dancers who go on pointe too early. Your child's ballet teacher is really the best judge of "readiness."

If your daughter really wants those shoes, let us know. We will be happy show her some extra exercises to help her reach that goal.
